If you’re looking for a wingman or a good buddy to hang with… it’s our Buddy.
Buddy was the nomad of Sullivan N.H. He could be found regularly roaming house to house looking for food and attention. He was going to be put down because he was on the run and no one wanted him. What most did not realize was he was in search of a family that could love him forever. He once had a nice family who loved him very much, but their dog did not and eventually little Buddy’s ear was torn. It was in his best interest to be re-homed. Somehow, like all the fortunate rescues, he found his way to Amazing Grace Animal Sanctuary.
Buddy has been a special addition to the family since 2014. He’s sweet, gentle, laid-back and now liv’in the life. He’s a Nigerian dwarf goat. You won’t find him head–butting when you approach his small white head, instead he’ll ask for a scratch behind his ears while he closes his eyes and cherish’s his time with you. He’s always looking for snacks and you might almost hear him saying “are you SURE you don’t have some apples chunks hidden in your back pocket? I smell something sweet!’
Buddy is a character, he’s funny, a great actor and so easy to be around. Once when opening Jake and June Bug’s donkey stall, he was found sitting in the hay manger! He must have thought everyone needed a good laugh that day. Buddy can sometimes be found on holidays mascotting on Keene’s main street in full costume. He entertained his friends at the Dublin Community Center last winter (loving every nibble and all the attention) while collecting left over Christmas trees to bring to the farm. He’s our wingman and everyone’s Buddy.
